When I was 13 years old, I pointed to a world map and told my grandmother about all the places I would go to when I grew up. My grandmother, who had never left the United States, asked me how I would get to these exotic places. I told her that I didn't know how but that I would.
I chose to believe in my dreams and have traveled the world, influenced by all the places I have been. I have learned from my travels that no matter the location or the culture, our hearts are fundamentally the same.
All human beings want to connect, communicate, and be happy.
The places that have affected me most are Portland, Oregon; Arnold, California; Wellington, New Zealand; and Seattle, Washington. I lived in Portland, Oregon, for five years. Portland is one of the most artistic places on the planet. It is where I found myself and my spiritual path and established roots, community, and friendships that will last a lifetime. California is where I grew up. Seattle is where I had my babies, and so it will forever be a special place for me.
I have lived longest in one place in Wellington, New Zealand, for over 20 years. I felt "home" as soon as I arrived. I worked as the healer/massage therapist at Weta Digital for the film crew who created the Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and King Kong films for over five years. Being around such talented artists daily inspired me to attend art and film school in New Zealand. New Zealand's people and landscape have influenced my artwork hugely. A sense of community, trust, and purity exists here. The energy of both Portland and Wellington are found within my book and my heart.
I moved to Seattle, Washington, from New Zealand for four years. Seattle is a very special place, as it is where I had my two beautiful Om baby boys and was the inspiration for the birth and creation of Om Baby. Seattle is a beautiful place to manifest and create one's dreams, allowing space for them to come true. I love Seattle!
I believe in creating the world in which I want to live. In every moment and with every thought, I endeavor to create beauty, peace, and love.
The world of Om Baby is the world in which I believe, live, and create. I live with my adoring husband, Gray Horsfield, and inspiring Om Babies Octavius and Halifax Horsfield in Wellington, New Zealand. My children are now teenagers, but they will always be my sweet Om babies!
You can find me creating, dancing, and spending time with my two fur babies. I am also creating Oracle decks, doing Wounds to Wisdom Oracle readings, Soul Coaching my clients, teaching about Intuition and Psychic Superpowers, getting my master's degree in Psychology, and creative writing!
